What are oncology clinical trials?

Oncology clinical trials are medical research studies where a patient receives a treatment that has not yet been approved for use in the general population. The aim of a clinical trial is to assess how well the treatment works, and what dose and dosing schedule should be used to give the best results.

Mundipharma EDO is running several oncology clinical trials in Europe and the USA to investigate the safety and effectiveness of its treatments in development. The trials have been developed specifically to research the use of these treatments in patients with either rare types of cancer or difficult-to-treat cancer, which often means it is relapsed or refractory (resistant to treatment) and more advanced in terms of its stage. Not every trial will be suitable for every patient and it is important to discuss any oncology trial you may be interested in with your healthcare professional.
